Welcome to 2026 and another year of UpTheBrum! We are kicking off the year with a little glitz, a splash of sass, and a fabulous new (to us) venue that we can’t wait to show you.

The Warm-Up Act: Speed Dating Returns We are starting the night with a bang! Before the main party kicks into gear, sign up for the return of our famous Speed Dating. It’s the perfect “opening number”—a friendly, relaxed way to meet some new faces (and potential partners in crime) with absolutely zero time for nerves. The Main Event Once the ice is broken, it’s time to party. There will be a free glass of prosecco on arrival to help ease you into the evening and loosen the tongue. In honour of our “Strictly” theme, we’ve got some entertainment lined up that promises to be fab-u-lous—but don’t worry, it won’t outstay its welcome. We’ll also be providing some light food to keep your energy levels high, because you’re going to need it on the dancefloor.

For the Newbies If you’re fresh to the scene, or just to Up The Brum, welcome! We run purely social events in bars and pubs. We pride ourselves on ensuring a safe, private, and welcoming environment for all our guests. We provide the venue, the entertainment, and the snacks; you provide the charm. You get the whole evening to make new friends, catch up with existing ones, and see what you want to arrange for later!

Get Chatting Early We run a private Telegram chat group for a fortnight before the event. It’s the absolute best way to hit the ground running, get to know our sexy, sexy hosts (and the guests, who scrub up alright too), and ensure you aren’t walking into a room full of strangers on the night.

The “Strictly” Rules (Obligatory Note to Single Men) We pride ourselves on keeping the numbers fair, balanced, and safe. We get a LOT of interest from single guys, so competition for tickets is fierce.
