TFI UpTheBrum!
Welcome to Summer 2026 and another UpTheBrum! We’re kicking things off in true Friday-night style: loud shirts, questionable dancing, cheeky charm, and a brand-new central Birmingham venue we can’t wait to unleash on you lot.
The Pre-Show: Speed Dating is Back
Before the chaos of the main event begins, we’re bringing back our infamous Speed Dating session. Think of it as the warm-up before the cameras roll – a fun, relaxed chance to meet new faces, flirt a little, and get the awkward introductions out of the way before the party properly kicks off.
No pressure, no interrogations, and absolutely no need for smooth chat-up lines (though bonus points if you’ve got them). Check out the matching Speed Dating event if you want in on the action.
The Main Event
This year’s theme takes inspiration from the golden age of Friday-night television. Expect a little bit of nostalgia, a little bit of chaos, and enough energy to make it feel like you’ve stumbled onto the set of the wildest late-night show Birmingham never actually had.
There will also be some light food to keep everyone fuelled for an evening of mingling, mischief, and terrible dance moves.
New to UpTheBrum?
If this is your first time with us, welcome aboard.
UpTheBrum runs purely social events in bars and pubs, designed to create a relaxed, private, and genuinely welcoming environment for everyone who attends. We provide the venue, entertainment, snacks, and hosts; you bring the personality, the stories, and hopefully your best Friday-night energy.
Whether you’re here to make new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, or see where the evening takes you later on, there’s space for everyone.
Get Involved Before the Night
We run a private Telegram group for the fortnight leading up to the event, and honestly, it’s the best way to get yourself settled before the big night.
It’s where the pre-show nonsense begins: meet the hosts, chat to other guests, organise drinks beforehand, share outfit disasters, and make sure you’re not walking into a room full of strangers when Friday finally arrives.
The Guest List Situation (A Necessary Note to Single Men)
As always, we work hard to keep numbers balanced, comfortable, and safe for everybody attending. That means tickets for single guys are always in very high demand.
To our regulars: We adore you, but occasionally we need to make room for some fresh talent.
To the new lads: if you want a shot at making the guest list, make sure your profile actually tells us something about you. A blurry bathroom selfie and “just ask” isn’t going to cut it. We want good vibes, good chat, and people who’ll add something fun to the night -not someone who looks like they’ve wandered in after being barred from a Walkabout in 2004.
So grab your ticket, sort your Friday-night finest, and come join our weird, wonderful, slightly chaotic Brummie world.
